New tiger cubs on display at the Bronx Zoo

tiger Six tiger babes made their debut at the Bronx Zoo 's Tiger Mountain this week. The three Amur cubs and three Malayan cubs frolic in adjacent exhibits so that little visitors can examine their differences. If you decide to check out these adorable tigers this Saturday or Sunday, be sure to dress up your own wildcat: Costumed kids get in free*—and get to enjoy all kinds of Halloween fun—every weekend in October as part of Boo at the Zoo . While you're there, see if you can spot another notable borough resident: the beaver that's been discovered living in the Bronx River near the zoo. It's been named—what else?—Justin Beaver. *Kids enter free with one paying adult. General admission only. Photo courtesy of Bronx Zoo Wildlife Conservation Society/Julie Larsen Maher.
