In honor of what would have been Dr. Seuss's 108th birthday, we've rounded up six great ways to celebrate The Cat in the Hat author.
Chow down on a Dr. Seuss-themed meal
Enjoy Green Eggs and Ham and Cotton Candy Swirl Seuss Milkshakes at Big Daddy's. Staff members will even be dressed up as their favorite Seuss character. Listen to a story
Kids celebrate the rhyming master's birthday with a reading of some of his classic tales. After, they create their own Seuss-themed party hats to take home. Fri Mar 2--Sun Mar 4 11:30am--12:30pm. Brooklyn Children's Museum. Free wth museum admission. Ages 1.5 to 2.5.

Catch a screening of The Lorax
It's hard to imagine a more perfect film rendition of Dr. Seuss's keenly visionary story The Lorax—which, like the book, is only secondarily about the furry orange creature with a gruff demeanor and an unfailing moral compass. Click here for our full review of the new flick.

Children can view nearly 100 of Dr. Seuss's original work at "The Art of Dr. Seuss" exhibit at the AFA Gallery. Stop by on Friday, March 2 from 10am to 7pm and listen to actors from Seussical the Musical read Dr. Seuss books aloud. The display will be up through March 31.
