Store opening: Pink Olive
Fri Feb 29 2008
One of my favorite children's stores, Pink Olive, is opening a second location this weekend in where else but Park Slope (in case you haven't been to the original , it's in the East Village on East 9th Street). The new 600-square-foot Brooklyn store, located at 167 Fifth Avenue, carries products from Dwell Studio, Pink Chicken, BlaBla, Zid Zid, Knock Knock and My Favorite Mirror, among others. I'm a huge fan of their baby clothes—especially the Deadly Girl Couture bodysuits with sayings like "Louis Spitton," "Burpberry" and "Pradada." The best part about the new store, though, is that not all of the gear is for the tiny set. Owner Grace Kang (tell her I said hi if you see her!) is also featuring cool items for the home.
If you're in the area this weekend, stop by. Shoppers visiting March 1 to March 3 will receive a free gift with purchase. Go to pinkoliveboutique.com or call 212-780-0036 for more information.
