The Park Slope parents pummel continues...

We wrote a little something about it last week and planned to leave it at that. But the drama continues. Now it seems other moms and dads in the coverted area are starting up their own listservs in protest of ParkSlopeParents' impending annual fee. The Post covered one daddy, Craig Bromberg, who started up Park Slope Kids & Parents in a matter of minutes. On his blog, he also mentions that there are two other free listservs: theotherparkslopeparents and Free Park Slope Parents. I've resisted taking a stance on this situation. While it's clearly easy to make fun of (see Gawker), I can see the merits of both sides. Plus, while I am a parent, I live in East Harlem, and frankly, we just don't have these kinds of power struggles there (at least not yet. Give it a few years). So Park Slope parents, if you're listening, tell us, what is going on? I mean really. I feel like a therapist would have a field day analyzing the underlying issues that brought this drama to such a fascinating place...
