Monday 29
The city has halted public transportation and canceled NYC public schools due to Hurricane Sandy. We can also confirm that Broadway shows, zoos, aquariums, parks and some city libraries are closed. Make sure you're stocked up with water, non-perishable food, batteries and flashlights. Most of all, though, stay safe.

Tuesday 30
There's bound to be lots of closures today as well—check specific event's websites before heading out.

Wednesday 31
Happy Halloween! It's too early to tell what this year's holiday will bring, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that the massive Halloween Celebration at AMNH will go on as planned.

Thursday 1
Catch the Complete Theater Company's production of , a show incorporating all 209 of the Brothers Grimm stories, at the Richmond Shepard Theatre.

Friday 2
Join video game character Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) on his mission to change from villain to hero in Wreck-It Ralph, which opens in theaters today.
