It’s not exactly news that contemporary artists are influenced by self-taught artists, but group exhibits bringing together works from both groups have the virtue of making their visual dialogue concrete. This one, organized by curator Fabienne Stephan and artist Jayson Musson, juxtaposes insider and outsider artists with a particularly lively lineup of the latter, including James Castle, Lee “Scratch” Perry and Bill Traylor.
