Andy Coolquitt, "somebody place"

Coolquitt's sculptures and installations are made of arrangements of throwaway items and are chiefly concerned with how these objects relate to the gallery interior and the viewer. He usually starts with some preconception of how to fill the space, which has sometimes involved on-site improvisation. In this case, the show was created in advance in its entirety at his studio, before being brought and installed here.
