Anton Alvarez, “Wrapsody”

Alvarez wraps sculptural objects—some abstract, others suggestive of furniture—in multicolor skeins of glue-covered thread that bind together different materials—wood, plastic, metal, fur, felt. This show features recent examples, as well as The Thread-Wrapping Machine, the device Alvarez will use in the gallery to create new work.
