Can you improve Edward Hopper paintings with social-media icons?

New York artist Edward Hopper is known for his stunning realist oil paintings, in which he captured moments of seemingly bleak, mundane American living and transformed them into vibrant still lifes through his love of color and perfect mimicry of natural light. Ukrainian artist Nastya Nudnik, however, has modernized this portrayal of the prosaic by injecting social iconography into some of Hopper's classic pieces, all while maintaining the same solitude and loneliness that seeps through Hopper's originals.

The beautiful, often eerie stillness of Hopper's work is abruptly disrupted by social-media alerts, reflecting our own lives' quiet peacefulness being constantly interrupted by the noisy blipping and pop-ups of addictive social notifications.

These are so good that we want more, so here are some additions we'd like to see:

The woman in Automat flipping through Tinder. Just another sad night alone, rejecting digital man after digital man.

The man in Nighthawks on Grindr, discovering that the hottie in the fedora across the bar is a fellow user.

The employees in Office at Night ordering from Seamless. If they're making us work this late, we're expensing this!

Snapchat notifications for A Woman in the Sun. These nudes will only last a moment, right?

Foursquare checking in to the theater in First Row Orchestra. Everyone should know you're in the front row for Hedwig and the Angry Inch!
