Jewish culture in medieval Europe—like much of the rest of culture in medieval Europe—was preserved in richly illustrated manuscripts, and none are richer in this regard than the collection from Oxford University’s Bodleian Libraries. The Jewish Museum presents treasures from this trove, with an eye toward depicting the interaction of Jews, Muslims and Christians during this time.
