Sculptor David d'Angers (1788–1856) was one of the leading artists of the Romantic movement in France during the first half of the 19th century, hailed by Victor Hugo as the Michelangelo of Paris. This show collects more than 40 examples of his work, including drawings and sculptural objects in wax, terra-cotta, marble, bronze and plaster.
