Garis & Hahn

An addition to the arty stretch of the Bowery that includes Salon 94, Sperone Westwater and the New Mu, Garis & Hahn is a self-styled contemporary art "gallery-cum-Kunsthalle," though just what that's supposed to mean is hard to say; it certainly sounds snappy. In any case, proprietors Mary Garis (formerly of Sotheby’s and Christie’s, and Zach Feuer, Mary Boone and Haunch of Venison galleries) and Sophie Hahn (formerly of AXA Art insurance and Shapiro Auctioneers) bring plenty of art-world experience to the venture.
