Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller, The Murder of Crows

Canada's representatives at the 2001 Venice Biennale, Cardiff and Bures Miller offer an audio installation in which visitors are invited to wander among 98 speakers positioned throughout the Armory's capacious Drill Hall. The snatches of sound playing from each run the gamut from waves crashing to the hubbub of a factory floor, creating a dreamlike "soundscape" to get lost in.
