Time Out says

During his short career, Rhoades (1965–2006) was sort of the wild man of millennial installation art, creating riotous assemblages of found objects and other stuff that seemed to evoke the arrested adolescent mindset of America's me-first ethos. More exuberant than critical, the work won him almost immediate art-world recognition. The piece in this show employs a material he invented: a combination of nontoxic glue, green peas, beaded foam and dried salmon eggs commonly used as fish bait.
