Dr. Sun Yat-sen was the leader of the Chinese revolution in 1911, and to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic of China, this statue of him has been erected in the same Chinatown community where he finalized plans for the overthrow of his country's last imperial dynasty a century ago.
