They shoot New York
"I decided to take a picture of every surveillance camera on the block between my studio and Starbucks. I am always staggered by the amount of surveillance to which I'm subjected to walking down that one block. It occurred to me that somebody might be watching me taking a photograph of them photographing me. The fact that you feel anxiety taking a photograph in the street—of an inanimate object, no less, rather than a citizen—is symptomatic of our paranoia."
