For his first show in New York, Murata—best known for his abstract computer-generated animations—presents color digital prints of various interior settings filled with odd juxtapositions of objects: an electronic keyboard with several cat-scratching posts; a telescope with a ship in a bottle. A new 3-D video follows in a similar vein, with scenes of the artist's studio in which the furnishings appear to dissolve into mirrored shapes.
