This show gathers 175 rare artifacts from the Met’s vaults, as well as 12 other institutions in the U.S. and Europe, lifting the curtain on predynastic and early-dynastic Egypt (roughly 4000–2650 B.C.). The era heralded the development of forms that came to exemplify ancient Egyptian art.
