"I saw this really big, colorful poster advertising two CBGB appearances by this New Wave band from England called the Police, and I managed the very tricky art of ripping it off a wall. (Anybody who's tried to snatch those heavily glue-plastered billboard posters knows how tough that is). I was so intrigued by this day-glo poster that I decided to check the band out. Remarkably, the club was only about half full, but they gave a very spirited, good performance. Many people are surprised I got to see them at such a small venue, so I was curious to see how they have held up after so much time. Not sure if I could ever find the group quite as compelling as the poster's image but I'd love to find out at their MSG show. (And I ask you, does it look like Stewart Copeland is examining what he picked from his nose?)"
