Project Runway’s Laura Bennett, famed for her icy exterior and no-bullshit attitude, is going soft. As part of Fashion Week, Wed 5-Sept 12, Bennett and 16 other designers (Heatherette, Betsey Johnson and Isaac Mizrahi included) will showcase couture threads inspired by Charles Schulz’s beloved Peanuts gang. “I grew up watching the Peanuts!” says Bennett. “I wanted to translate Pig-Pen’s grunge style to my glam aesthetic.” Auction proceeds from MetLife’s Snoopy in Fashion show will benefit Dress for Success.
