A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Tickets are free (two per person) and may be picked up only on the day of performance after 1pm at the Delacorte Theater and from 1 to 3pm at the Public Theater (425 Lafayette St between Astor Pl and E 4th St). Four crazy kids and a bossy Bottom get mixed up in a world of drugs and fairy sex in Shakespeare’s beloved family classic. Dan Sullivan (Doubt) directs a fine cast that includes Jay O. Sanders, Laila Robbins, Keith David, Martha Plimpton, Mireille Enos, Austin Lysy and Elliot Villar. See “Into the woods,” page 145.

Do those crazy kids never learn? Considering the rash of Romeos this summer, surely the star-crossed lovers would have figured out their odds by now.
