For our latest Photo issue, we requested a look at the city through your eyes and we received nearly 1,000 submissions, including 91 street shots, 58 landscapes, 50 reflection photos, 47 parades, 44 shots of Coney Island, 42 pics of grafitti and four candids of Adam (some chick's boyfriend). What we learned: New Yorkers really love to shoot. Also: Taking original, surprising pics of this oft-snapped burg ain't so easy.

Yet it can be done. Behold, our editors' picks for the top 16, with tips from each photographer, along with scenes provided by a few famous NYC filmmakers and other useful photo-related advice.
