    The last time I hurled from a session of clubland overindulgence, it was after an evening spent partying to a techno soundtrack aboard an East River–cruising vessel. That in itself is pretty hot (we nightlifers judge hotness differently from most people—regurgitation is the aftereffect of a good time), but the mere term boat party is enough to get me excited. Granted, if they suck, they really suck, since there’s no scooting off into the night if you’re not having a blast. But it’s that feeling of confinement that can make boat parties really explode—the intensity can build and build, with no chance of release, until the crowd becomes one massive blob of orgiastic revelry. And then there’s the inevitable after-party.…
