Normally, a triple-disc retrospective of songs from a label that’s a half decade old would be considered a severe case of overkill—but for Buzzin’ Fly, helmed by onetime Everything but the Girl coleader Ben Watt, it’s more than justified. Rambling from clubland jackers (Darkmountaingroup’s “Lose Control”) to sprawling epic house (the Âme mix of Rodamaal’s “Insomnia”) and gorgeous deep material (Stimming’s “Kleine Nachtmusik”), the compilation covers rare range in this era of specialization, and its attention to quality is even more uncommon.
