First off, no one is saying these horses are ugly, and yes, a gleaming carriage drawn by a vital, well-groomed horse is a thing of beauty. But we’ve all seen the noble beast with plastic flowers slapped onto its bridle, its hooves chipped and coat dirty. This is one NYC tradition that should be put out to pasture.
