    TONY fashion

Hey, we have some pretty cool togs ourselves. Some of the office's snazziest dressers reveal their style secrets.

    Describe your personal style.
I don’t know. I also work at a nightclub, so I have a little bit of rock & roll, but also a little bit of sophistication. At least I try.

You look sophisticated in your photo.
I do! We were closing the Fashion issue, so I felt I had to portray what I was seeing. I had a lot of sales calls with fashion clients that day.

Do you glam yourself up when you have sales calls?
Of course. If I don’t have any meetings, I’ll be in jeans, boots and a T-shirt.

Do you have “closer” outfit, when you really need to do a deal?
    Like a power suit?

    Not necessarily.
I think my clients would look at me funny if I wore a suit. I do have good-luck boots and they’re red.

They say red is a power color. Any other tricks?
I also try to wear green a lot because I think it brings in the money.

I hope you don’t wear them together. That would be so Christmasy! Tell me about that colorful necklace; you weren’t wearing that in the photo.
I go to the Chelsea Flea Market pretty often because I live nearby. This is a plastic chain I saw and liked, so I finagled and finagled to get it to the right price.

I bet you’re an expert barterer.
I am in sales! Everything is negotiable.

You told me you also make your own jewelry. What are your creations like?
I work with a lot of fine stones and layered chains. I’m really into brass now.

Sounds cool. Your outfit in the photo is kind of a party dress. Is that because it was Friday?
That dress is a turtleneck black dress that I wear with a big brown belt. It definitely takes me into the evening.

What’s the trick to looking professional at work but fun when you go out?
Black. It’s the official color of New York and it always will be. You can wear it to the hot-dog stand and you can wear it to Blue Water Grill. It doesn’t really matter.

How does she ever make it to Blue Water Grill??? There are so many great places in Chelsea near that Flea Market!
