The fickle world of trends didn't stop turning in 2004, and you certainly can't walk around this town in that oh-so-2004 Carrie-style necklace. In order to keep you living as glamorously today as the SATC ladies did then, we’ve thawed out notorious fashions and hot spots from the show and updated them to reflect the new NYC social order.

The backstory
When Carrie attempted to quit smoking cold turkey for Aidan, she replaced her nicotine fix with cupcakes from this famous bakery. (And, yes, it was already a trend when Carrie arrived, but the show and the cupcake haven are forever intertwined.)

Screw Pinkberry's long-ass line. Charlotte should go for the upscale fro-yo at Red Mango; we're figuring Carrie for more of a DessertTruck girl.

If you just have to go to the Magnolia, go this Saturday 5/ 24, or on Sat 6/14& Sun 6/22 and see "Unison Fetish," a series of dances celebrating the Cult of the Cupcake in the park across from the Magnolia. Performed by 6 members of the Cupcake Cadet Corps and 12 cupcakes with choreography by Sue Hogan, the free event will be at 2pm & 4pm. Stand in line at the Magnolia and watch the Cupcake Cadets frolic across the street!
