Pick: "That's Not My Name" by Ting Tings
A sort of greasy hipsterish band that became famous thanks to an iPod commercial? I would love to hate the Ting Tings. But this song (not the one from the ad) has been in nonstop rotation in my own iPod since I got an advance copy of the album a couple of months ago. It starts out slow and uncertain but builds up to a funky, sloppy frenzy by the end—which is probably an apt description of my own dancing when these Brits play McCarren Park Pool on July 27.
