1. Art fair
Instead of inviting your crush over for a night of Simpsons DVDs, wend your way through the Digital & Video Art Fair’s nine walk-in exhibits, housed in outdoor shipping containers (March 25–30 noon–8pm). A free block party on Thu 27 features a DJ, open bars in the 26th Street galleries and four food stands, so you can munch on empanadas ($4 for two) in case you’re missing Bumblebee Man. 22nd–26th Sts between Tenth and Eleventh Aves (646-827-9205)
2. Dinner
Cap off your high-low affair at nearby seafood lounge Bongo, where you can sink into the mid-century sofas while splitting an order of a half dozen oysters ($18). Wash down the slippery aphrodisiacs with house cocktail Bongo 299 ($20 for two), a mix of Lillet and champagne that’s sure to help you seal the deal. 299 Tenth Ave between 27th and 28th Sts (212-947-3654)
