“Rock climbing is great because it teaches you a few things about your date,” says rock wall coordinator Abby Nelson of Chelsea Piers Field House where an hour’s rock-climbing lesson is $40 for two. “You see how aggressive they are, how fearful they are. We teach people how to belay and it’s completely safe, but you have to rely on your partner. It’s great for building a relationship.”
