Vincent (inset), a Belgian short-film maker in town for the Tribeca Film Festival, thinks globally when he people-watches locally: “What you see in Brussels is what you see here,” he says. Only difference? “There are girls here with extremely short skirts.” But accessories are what turn this movie man’s head, particularly those that Sophie, a Parsons student, is wearing. “She looks, in a way, like she has a poetic naïveté; loose, but not mainstream. I can see that from her headband.” Sophie’s tickled that her headwear, made by a friend, caught someone’s eye. “I absolutely agree with those things,” she says.
