1 Bonpoint
You’ll find yourself wishing for adult sizes of the floral-print dresses and gold sandals at this airy downtown outpost of the chichi French children’s clothing label. Content yourself with giving your favorite tyke the line’s adorable hand-knit baby booties and supersoft toys instead. 392 Bleecker St between Perry and 11th Sts (212-647-1700)
2 Juicy Couture
Bubblegum-pink walls and giant apothecary jars filled with lollipops and gobstoppers clue you in to the hypersweet vibe of this L.A.-based label. With nary a track suit in sight, the gilt-laden shop stocks its high-end line Couture Couture upstairs, and its men’s and kids’ collections downstairs. Our pick: chiffon dress, $258. 368 Bleecker St at Charles St (646-336-8151)
3 James Perse Men
Beach-bound guys looking for comfy weekend staples should drop by this designer’s male-only outlet where T-shirts, polos and chinos are artfully arranged by hue in the black-and-white space. FYI ladies: The women’s store is a few blocks north. 361 Bleecker St at Charles St (212-255-5801)
4 Miguelina
An aqua-blue table in the center of this all-white boutique—Emanuel Ungaro alum Miguelina Gambaccini’s first womenswear emporium—is reminiscent of a swimming pool, albeit one surrounded by a chic summery wardrobe of colorful gauzy tunics and ankle-skimming silk dresses. Our pick: Karin crinkle-gauze dress, $185. 347 Bleecker St at 10th St (212-400-3100)
5 Castor & Pollux
Sorry, Brooklyn: Owner Kerrilynn Pamer’s beloved boutique exited the borough for posher digs last year. Manhattanites can expect the same excellent cadre of ultrafemme classics by such coveted designers as Phillip Lim and Sonia Rykiel in a homey, carpeted setting. Our pick: Willow Butterfly Effect dress, $886. 238 W 10th St between Bleecker and Hudson Sts (212-645-6572)
6 Lord Willy’s
Providing gents with immediate gratification, Alex Wilcox’s dapper, Brit-inflected ready-to-wear line finds a new home at this spin-off (the Nolita original specializes in custom shirting and suiting). “Christopher Street is home to sex shops, tattoo parlors and smoke shops,” says Wilcox. “I like the eccentricity of being bang in the middle of it all.” Our pick: silk tie, $95. 102 Christopher St at Bleecker St (212-691-0888)
7 Steven Alan Annex
Racks of perfectly broken-in private-label button-downs flank the walls of this minuscule, brick-lined shop. In the center, you’ll find bloomers and boxers crafted out of the same lightweight cotton, as well as Bing Bang jewelry and vintage watches. Our pick: women’s silk Christine tunic, $258. 69 Eighth Ave between 13th and 14th Sts (212-242-2677)
Coming attractions:

A few doors down, Steve Madden’s high-end accessories line Steven will be sinking its heels into the strip come September.
