"Dutch Seen: New York Rediscovered"
Tue Jul 21 2009
“Dutch Seen: New York Rediscovered” at the Museum of the City of New York (through Sept 13)
Continuing its exploration of the Dutch influence on New York, the museum presents this photography exhibit, a collaboration with Foam_Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam. Dutch artists, including Rineke Dijkstra and Hendrik Kerstens, present celebrity portraits (Bjrk! Natalie Portman!), still lifes of New York City restaurants, gripping man-on-the-street shots and conceptual photographs that explore the theme “a portrait of the city.”
