    Why photoblogging is annoying
    Joe Dobias, JoeDoe owner

"The no-photo rule at JoeDoe (45 E 1st St between First and Second Aves; 212-780-0262, chefjoedoe.com) is a result of two main things. First, we are tiny and it is simply annoying to other guests and to our staff (flash or not). Second is my distaste for some (not all) bloggers who feel it is 'their right' to photograph whatever and wherever they please. Real journalists have tact (or should) and are usually focusing on a critique---not a blurry image of tuna tartare. We always tell folks who want to take pics that they can come back during nonservice hours and we can let them shoot, and oddly, they never accept. After all, they are only coming for one meal to write a slapdash (uneducated) opinion of a place."
