Description
At one end of the bar, a waiter from Georgia decries the state of his country over a bottle of Baltika No. 3. At the other end, a wine-addled composer vaunts his latest unmounted musical. The Vodka Room’s wood-paneled darkness is a place of comfort for dreamers and eccentrics—even the Monday-night jazz trio looks quirky. Diners nod along to the mellow bass, and couples cozy up in the alcoves to sample infused vodkas. Live piano music is the official entertainment; regulars provide the sideshow.
