Description
It may be a great place to have a drink while gazing at the reflecting pool off the main room, but the artsy events make Galapagos more than just another pretty face in the nabe’s hipster parade. Film screenings, trapeze acts, singers, musicians, burlesque dancers, avant-garde theater and comedy light up the stage night after night; most shows are free or less than $20. Look closely at the performers. You might recognize the girl who served you coffee on Bedford Avenue this morning, or even the bespectacled guy from the next cubicle at your day job.
