Eben Freeman assembles the Cocktail All-Stars.
Mon Feb 1 2010
Eben Freeman caught our attention during his impressive stint as cocktail sorcerer at the now-closed restaurant Tailor. Last year he left the eatery to work on a project in Asia, and now he returns to NYC to unveil it. Cocktail All-Stars—Freeman’s assembly of international bar talent—will host a trio of events this week. On Mon 8, “Things Eurasian: An Exploration of Ancient Flavors and Modern Science” will look into the relationship between technology and booze at the Monday Room (210 Elizabeth St between Prince and Spring Sts, 212-343-7011). Tue 9 brings a Far East--inspired celebration at Madame Geneva (316 Bowery at Bleecker St, 212-254-0350); and on Wed 10, mixology elders including Dale DeGroff and David Wondrich will collaborate for “Old-Timers Night: An Old-Fashioned Experience” at PDT (113 St. Marks Pl between First Ave and Ave A, 212-614-0386). Prices and times vary; e-mail Erin Fitzpatrick at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
