The team behind the popular Hell’s Kitchen bar launches a second location of the craft-brew-heavy haunt. The uptown offshoot boasts the same handmade growler lamps and oft-rotating fresh beer selections as the original, and will offer 20 drafts and two daily-rotating cask ales. Priced at five bucks a glass, the suds will be culled from breweries like Barrier, Empire and Ballast Point (no imports, bottles or cans). Greenwood Park
Projected opening: Mid-April or early May
This project from industry vet Ted Mann (Public Assembly, Bar Matchless), along with Lawrence Hyland and Diane Yasilakos, transforms a former auto-repair lot into a 13,000-square-foot beer garden. Three retractable garage doors (in addition to one serving as the main entrance) hint at the venue’s industrial past, but the rest of the space has been gutted to add indoor and outdoor bars and 25 to 30 changing draft lines. Dale Talde Bar TBD

Dale Talde, who just opened his packed Pan-Asian eatery, Talde, in January, is already expanding his reach in Brooklyn. The menus at the chef’s yet-to-be-named bar draw inspiration from American roadhouse food.(In keeping with the theme, a framed photo of the late actor Patrick Swayze, who starred in the 1980s film Road House, will greet patrons at the door.) Golden Cadillac

Bartending heavyweight Giuseppe Gonzalez (PKNY, Clover Club) teams up with Greg Boehm (Cocktail Kingdom) and James Tune (Pegu Club) to bring a 1970s-style cocktail bar to Alphabet City. Drinks will be categorized by their places in history rather than a common spirit, and some of the tipples from the less-refined cocktailing decades like the ’80s and ’90s (when things like lemon drops were all the rage) will undergo an “Alice Waters” revamp: Gonzalez plans to refine the kitschy Cosmo, for example, taking pains to choose an organic cranberry juice that he feels reflects the bar’s focus on quality ingredients. Hair of the Dog

This 80-seat spot will debut with 19 TVs, two fully stocked bars, a tin ceiling and exposed-brick walls. The cheekily named joint promises an abundance of drink specials, including half-price booze at happy hours. The Well
Projected opening: June 1
Joshua Richholt, former manager of the Knitting Factory, will open this 15,000-square-foot beer hall inside Danbro Studios, the onetime home of the Hittleman Brewery. Plans for the expansive space include 60 taps, representing most of New York’s breweries, along with a bottle selection hovering somewhere around 250.
