Bathed in a warm, dark-red glow from votive candles and chandeliers, this place offers good cover for singles scoping on the sly. Paintings by neighborhood artists add to the LES chic. The bar attracts locals during the week, but on weekends, the velvety animal-print couches and long cherry-wood bar are filled with trendy types sipping apple martinis.
