Time Out says

Madcap mixologist Albert Trummer is best known for his flaming alchemical concoctions at Apotheke, but he's leaving the blazes behind for a different kind of show at this theater-themed drinkery. Nodding to the vaudeville houses of yore, the 50-seat, brick-walled space is done up with antique chandeliers, crimson velvet curtains and banquettes. The menu is divided into five "acts" ranging in focus from Mayan and Aztec Remedies to the Harlem Renaissance. As Trummer prefers to mix his libations with a bit of drama, each libation is accompanied with a side of variety show dazzle. Order one of the Mexican-influenced cocktails and a sombrero-sporting bartender will appear tableside to mix your drink "mariachi-style" by pulling ingredients out of a guitar. Opt for the Geisha and two kimona-clad young ladies will deliver the plum wine, rum and yuzu essence quaff. "Alchemy and Illusions" selections from Act V require your presence on the stage behind the bar, where bartender-magician Jeff Grow pairs a sleight-of-hand trick with your tipple.
