No purchase necessary. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Open to legal and current residents of the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut who are 21 years of age and older.
ELIGIBILITY: Time Out New York and Amstel Light's Best Burger Showdown (the "Sweepstakes") is open to legal residents of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut who are 21 years of age and older. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited. Employees, directors and officers, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), and their respective household members, of Time Out America, LLC (the "Sponsor"), its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, and divisions, advertising and promotion agencies and Amstel USA are not eligible to enter. Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, local, provincial and municipal laws. U.S. law governs this Sweepstakes.
PHASE ONE SWEEPSTAKES TIMING: Phase ONE of the Sweepstakes begins at 10:00:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) on June 20, 2012 and ends 11:59:59 PM ET on July 1, 2012 ("Phase One Promotion Period").
HOW TO ENTER PHASE ONE: You may enter the Sweepstakes by voting for your favorite bar/restaurant that serves Amstel Light from among the 100 listed nominees and submitting your email address on the Time Out New York Best Burger Showdown Sweepstakes Page at www.timeout.com/bestburger. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET on July 1, 2012 in order to be eligible for the Grand Prize Random Drawing. Limit one (1) entry per person, per valid email address. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements. Sponsor will collect information from the entrant for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes, to notify the winner and for future communications and promotional emails about Time Out New York and Time Out New York Offers and Experiences. Sponsor will not share this information with any third parties, except as necessary for the administration of the Sweepstakes or future communication about Time Out New York. Entries that have been generated by a script, macro, bot or any other automated means will be deemed void. Entries that are mechanically reproduced, copied, illegible, late or inaccurate are void. Incomplete entries or entries not complying with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification, at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor's decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. If a dispute results as to the identity of an online entrant, it will be determined that the online entry was submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address from which the entry is made. Sponsor's database clock will be the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes.

HOW TO ENTER PHASE TWO: You may enter the Sweepstakes by voting for your favorite bar/restaurant that serves Amstel Light from among the Top 10 listed nominees and submitting your email address on the Time Out New York Best Burger Showdown Sweepstakes Page at www.timeout.com/bestburger. Additionally, participants may enter via a text-to-vote platform, powered by Mozes. Each confirmed text will count as one (1) vote for Phase Two. Limit one (1) entry per person, per valid email address and/or mobile phone number. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET on August 5, 2012 in order to be eligible for the Grand Prize Random Drawing. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements. Sponsor will collect information from the entrant for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes, to notify the winner and for future communications and promotional emails about Time Out New York and Time Out New York Offers and Experiences. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, illegible, damaged, or misdirected entries. Sponsor's decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves all rights, including the right to edit, publish, use, adapt, modify, or dispose of any entry, proper names, likenesses, and photographs for advertising and promotional purposes in all media (including, but not limited to, the internet) without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. If an entrant changes his/her email address after he/she enters the Sweepstakes, it is his/her sole responsibility to notify the Sponsor by (postal) mailing notice to Sponsor's address (listed below) to be received by the end of the Promotion Period.
ALTERNATE METHOD OF ENTRY: To enter by mail, send a 3x5 card with your full name, e-mail address & phone number to "Best Burger Showdown" at Time Out New York, c/o Marketing. 475 Tenth Avenue, 12th floor, New York, NY 10018. Mail-in entries must be received by July 31, 2012 in order to be eligible.
DETERMINATION OF WINNER: One (1) prize package will be awarded in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during both Promotion Periods ("Grand Prize Random Drawing"). Potential Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about August 8, 2012 from among all eligible entries received via both entry methods. The Sponsor will conduct the random drawing and Sponsor's decisions are final on matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Potential winner will be notified by electronic mail on or about August 15, 2012. Potential Grand Prize winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility/declaration of eligibility/liability release and where legal, a publicity release, and for a U.S. resident, a Federal and State tax release, and return these documents, properly executed, within 48 hours of of issuance of notification. Non-compliance within this time frame or with the Official Rules, or if prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, will result in the entrant being disqualified, and the prize will be awarded to a potential alternate winner. Allow 2-4 weeks for booking of prize. Odds of winning a Grand Prize depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.
PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize: Winner of Time Out New York and Amstel Light's Best Burger promotion will receive a Dinner for four (4) at the winning restaurant, not to exceed $250.00 USD and does not include gratuity. Winner understands he/she is responsible for transportation for their party to and from the winning venue. Any and all costs not expressly stated within this description are the responsibility of the winner. ARV: $250.00.
Approx. Retail Value (ARV) of prize is reflected in U.S. dollars. All taxes and any other costs not specifically stated within these Official Rules are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize may not be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash, except at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value if advertised prize is unavailable at the time the prize is awarded.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: Eligible Participants agree to receive future information from the Sponsor, its affiliates and prize providers. Sponsor's use of information submitted by entrants in connection with this Sweepstakes will be subject to the terms and conditions stated in these Official Rules as well as to the Sponsor's Privacy Policy available at http://newyork.timeout.com/668593/privacy-policy. All materials submitted in connection with the Sweepstakes become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. By accepting a prize, winner consents to the use of his/her name, image, likeness, photograph, voice and biographical material and entry submission for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes by Sponsor, or a party designated by Sponsor, in any and all media now or hereafter known including but not limited to, any online announcements, or for sharing this information with the press for viewing, whether TV or print, throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in these Official Rules. By participating and/or accepting a prize, entrants, Winners and guests agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors, from any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Sweepstakes, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity, including but not limited to any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. Sponsor shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitutions or omissions whatsoever by any transportation companies or any other persons providing any services to winner including any results thereof such as changes in services or location necessitated by same. Sponsor is not responsible if any part of a Sweepstakes prize cannot be awarded due to any and all unforeseen circumstances.
WINNERS' LIST: For the names of the winners, available after August 27, 2012, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope by August 20 2012 to: TONY Best Burger Showdown Sweepstakes Winners, Attn: Marketing, 475 Tenth Ave, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10018.
