Want to learn about really cool, creative, techy stuff for free? Hewlett-Packard presents a kick-ass assortment of gratis presentations, workshops and demos over the next five days for its Power Up event at Milk Studios.

It all kicks off at 8pm tonight with the launch of multi-media artist Joel Fitzpatrick's new lighting and sculpture installation, MADE Creative Project, and a performance from New Orleans–bred crooner Luke James. Subsequent days include a keynote speech from Kate Swanborg, Head of Technology Communications at DreamWorks Animation (the fine folks behind How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, etc.), a presentation on the history of indie games from Thu Tran, an audio mixing demo with Grammy Award-winning mix engineer Bob Power (ATCQ, Erykah Badu, The Roots, D’Angelo), and lots more.

Visit the POWER UP website to check out the complete program, and register to attend whichever events tickle your fancy.
