Park Slope certainly isn't lacking in grocery options (Hello, Park Slope Coop, Union Market and others), and now residents of the 'hood have an even more convenient way to fill their fridges. Today, AmazonFresh became available for the first time in New York. Specifically, in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Deliveries are free through the end of the year for Amazon Prime members in the 'hood. More zip codes in the borough will get access to the service in the coming months.

In addition groceries, the service also includes deliveries on just about anything else Amazon sells: More than 500,000 items including electronics, household goods and products from area specialty shops (such as Red Hook Lobster Pound and The Bagel Store). If you place your order by 10am, you'll get your items by dinner; order by 10pm, and you'll get your goods by breakfast.

Between this news and the new Amazon shop opening soon in Manhattan, the online giant is slowly taking over NYC.
