Bushwick is getting its own Smorgasburg-esque food flea

Can't bear the idea of hauling yourself from Bushwick all the way to Williamsburg to get in some weekend food-flea browsing? Bushwickians can rest easy—local-artisan showcase SHWICK Market will be expanding their offerings with a 30-vendor "food garden," set to debut at 6 Charles Place off of Myrtle Avenue on April 18.

The vendor lineup is still TBA (wannabe vendors can apply here), but the market will spotlight neighborhood eateries (the regular indoor market features Brooklyn-based vendors like Jim's Jams & Jellies and Black Currant Bakery). The outdoor food flea is planning to run every weekend from 11am to 7pm until December 19 and 20.
