After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Del Posto's Mark Ladner took his gluten-free pasta bowls on the road, hauling a converted Airstream camper to cities like Boston and Philadelphia. Cheekily named Pasta Flyer, the operation has recently returned home, opening doors yesterday in the West Village.

The pop-up follows the quick-serve model of Japanese ramen dens, serving three types of rice-and-potato–based pasta (elbows, screws, tubes) with three sauce options (marinara, porcini cream, pesto) for $9, with optional add-ons like beef meatballs, bacon and eggs for $3 each. Ladner also created a towering three-cheese lasagna (see above) that's $9 per hefty slice.

The shop will be open today and tomorrow between 11:30am and 3:30pm. As a bonus, you’ll be able to add grated black truffles ($10) to your bowl today and white truffles ($20) tomorrow. Before you order a second helping, think about dessert: There’s sweet strawberry gelato and chocolate-covered espresso beans. 7 Cornelia St between Bleecker and West 4th Sts (pastaflyer.com)
