Book lovers across New York gave out a cry of despair when beloved Midtown bookstore Rizzoli was shuttered last year to make way for a high-rise development but next week, they'll be getting a bit of it back.
Set to open this Monday at 1133 Broadway, the new Rizzoli Bookstore will feature cherry wood bookcases, brass and iron chandeliers rescued from the previous location at 31 W. 57th St. On top of that, the new location will boast a skylight, 18-foot tall ceilings and a wallpaper depicting Italian cities, Zodiac figures and hot air balloons.
