One of the surest signs that summer has finally arrived is the promise of heaping plates of barbecue at the annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party, held at Madison Square Park on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 from 11am to 6pm. Since 2002, Big Apple Barbecue has brought together some of the country's top pitmasters and this year's line-up looks like it's no exception—the thirteen pros include local experts like Billy Durney (Hometown BBQ) and Charles Grund Jr. (Hill Country).
