La Selva pops up at Antoinette this weekend
Head to Williamsburg this weekend to shop La Selva’s latest collection and pop-up event at vintage boutique, Antoinette. Beyond the unique finds typically offered, La Selva teamed up with local artist, Rebeca Raney, to create fashionable wares made out of handmade Guatemalan textiles and contemporary fabrics. These one-of-a-kind pieces range from twisted headbands made from hand woven textiles ($54) to Western-style shirts with Mayan hand embroidery ($288). This collection is sure to add some extra flair to the typical New York color palate and better yet—all La Selva items are 10 percent off this weekend.
Sip on pours of complementary wine as you peruse the garments and chat up designer, Celina Paiz, who will be making an appearance at the event. Also, shoppers will receive a free set of beautiful, textile postcards with every purchase—so you can send mail to all your friends and family who are clearly missing out.
Antoinette, 119 Grand Street between Wythe Ave and Berry St, Williamsburg, Brooklyn (718-387-8664). Aug 2-3, noon-7pm.
And if you just can’t wait until the weekend to treat yourself, Babeland is hosting a sexy Soho cocktail party with the beauty geniuses from Benefit Cosmetics tonight. Sip on free beverages while scoping out Babeland’s extensive supply of toys and accessories to make your summer nights even hotter. Benefit beauty gurus will be on the floor, offering complementary makeovers and tips on how to achieve the perfect sexy glow. And be sure to take notes from Babeland’s knowledgeable staff members as well—they’re revealing their best sex advice to go along with your hot makeover.
Make sure you RSVP and head down to the event by 7pm. The first 25 guests will receive a swag bag filled with Benefit and Babeland goodies—so get your sexy on.
