First impression
Holly: “He was waiting at the bar. He had a great smile, and he was dressed really nicely. He seemed dapper and easygoing. I was pleasantly surprised.”
Michael: “She was very attractive. We clicked physically, which was nice. She was outgoing, pleasant and inquisitive. She had lots of questions right off the bat.”
Chemistry
Holly: “We had plenty to talk about. He was a great storyteller and conversationalist. We didn’t have awkward moments or silences. We’re both outgoing, so there wasn’t any shyness.”
Michael: “It was just general first-date, get-to-know-you conversation, but by the end, we were both very at ease and enjoying ourselves. There was definitely chemistry.”
Afterward
Holly: “We went to a dessert bar that he knew of and split a couple of desserts. I was glad it wasn’t just a drinks date. Afterward, he asked for my number and we hugged.”
Michael: “It was the day before her birthday, so when I got home, I waited up until after midnight to text her happy birthday, which she thought was cute.”
Awkward Moment
Holly: “He got to the restaurant before I did, and I did a casual walk-by before going in. I’m pretty sure he saw me do that. Then I doubled back and went inside.”
Michael: “I’m used to connecting with people on Facebook, so afterward, I was about to walk away, and she was like, ‘Don’t you want my number?’ I was like, ‘Yes, good call.’”
Verdict
Holly: “It was a spectacular evening. I can’t say enough good things about him. He texted me when he got home. I hope we can go out again.”
Michael: “I’m looking forward to seeing her again. I asked her what her ideal date is so we could do that. We might go to a museum or see Birdman.”
