On the night of Tuesday, July 7th, The Way Station, a Prospect Heights' Doctor Who-themed bar and live music venue, will offer women a discounted rate of 77% on their entire tab in a direct effort to raise awareness about income inequality. Why not? Every little bit/shot helps.

Based on statistics that show women receive only 77 cents for every dollar earned by their male counterparts, the neighborhood drinkery will play its part in social activism while simultaneously celebrating local music talent with its inaugural "acoustic soul night." The night's lineup of performers, which includes Starr Busby, Jenn Mundia and J. Hoard, was curated by owner Andy Heidel, who launched the Prospect Heights Music Festival last year.

Here's to bridging the gender gap one tipple at a time!
